I agree, but to kind of make up your loses while still keeping it fair, he could sell it for whatever he paid for it, but a discount is also okay in my eyes.

If he's trying to capitalize against a scalper, a markup would be warranted. I personally would sell it at a discount to another fellow gamer, just because I know how fckd the whole situation is for anyone who is trying to upgrade.


Going along with that last statement, Best Buy had a release last week where the only way to get a GPU was to sign up for their premium service which is $200 a year. But what it seemed a measure against scalpers, ended up being something that greatly benefited them as they could buy more than one type of GPU, resulting in scalpers being able to buy $20,000 worth of GPUs in one single transaction.

Used means you lose warranty, entirely or at least in part. So as much as it hurts there is loss in value. Theoretically also got some value out of it by using.
I gave up on the used market (selling) but my hardware was a bit older too...

The button configuration is a bit of a mess. When the game was first released there was no support for mouse side buttons. Techland has released a few patches one of which has gone some way to making things better but I've still had to edit a .scr file to get things acceptable. I suspect that making the game for consoles has had an effect on button config but at least the buttons aren't getting in my way so much now.

The game is standard open world: get quest, do quest get rewards. That is fun although a couple of skill puzzles have frustrated me at times because timing has to be just right.

There is a lot of real verticality, not just token like in CP. Falling to my death is not uncommon and I think, I'm not sure, I get a touch of vertigo at times which I've never experience before in a game or real life. How impressive is that?

THE standout feature of this game is the world. I thought CP77 was pretty, this is another level. There is so much detail everywhere sometimes I just have to stop and look. Cathedrals look like decrepit cathedrals, the streets are littered with debris.

So much so I am fantasising about another PC not just a new graphics card. I say that but realistically it wouldn't be until the end of the year. Or later. The game is freakin' stunning to look at even on low graphical preset.

I've finished the main quest and now I'm just ticking of all the landmarks which are placed on the map.

Not a great game but a beautiful one in a run down, decaying sort of way.

The first Bioshock game had me in a state of awe. The first time introduction with the decent in to Rapture was magical. One of my favourite games.
So it is with a little trepidation a bring you this:

A BioShock movie is on the way from Netflix


Having said that I thoroughly enjoyed the Netflix series of The Witcher.

Ah good ol' false memory. I went looking a pic of the game that we used to have. It's G-4. I've always remembered it as B-4. G-4 doesn't sound nearly as impressive.

According to the box it's still America's all time favorite game.

I'm not sure about your point that the game name is Battleship given that it's on the box.

Fck them Valkyries. Especially the Valk queen in GoW. I explored, grind,and did all the side quests in the game to get the best materials, armor, enhancements, and that thing still managed to wipe the floor with me.

They are quite difficult to defeat, but so satisfying when you do in the end, especially the queen. I must have died 30-40 times fighting her.

I would say that is about the same amount of times I died too. Once I beat her by saving the rage meter for the last hits, I roared. Now I can continue the story mode and wipe the floor with Baldur since I got the Niflheim armor maxed out and other sockets at legendary.

Switching over to PC, as pricey as I have made it so far, has been one of the best financial move I've ever made. I'm sure the boss lady would beg to differ, but she doesn't seem to mind when she's ripping through gears on A.C

The reason why I've been posting GT7 stuff is because Sony has realized how positively impactful it can be to port their exclusives to PC. HZD, GoW, Days Gone. There are credible rumors that GT7 will be ported to PC, just not this year.

I'm a huge proponent of cross-platform development. For one, it's much easier now. For two, the money has never really been in the hardware anyway. Look at how M$ has moved into gaming and the cloud as a hedge against their OS focus. It's brought them back to a new strength again. Also part of the huge reason for the shortage of PS5s (and presumably the Xbox X as well) is they are selling $1k or more worth of hardware for $400-500 dollars because they know they will make back in the games. Well fine but maybe just branch-out of the box? I mean I love paying next-to-nothing for console boxes that play as good as a modern mid-level gaming PC but at the same time it's almost mind-boggling. Like I could build my own linux or M$ PC tower again for $2k and I'll still pay for games on Steam so... thanks but why? It's almost like the exact opposite of car manufacturers who build a $200 radio for $2k that doesn't even do what you want but you have to buy it.
