with the shift in programming-- get out first, patch later-- i am much less judgemental of initial releases of games. as long as they come back around and fix it, it'll work.

it also helps that i've never bought a game in the first year...

Is it just me or has the site had an issue with double posting these past few weeks?

Eh, the last game in the series was a 2017 release and that was mostly a slightly upgraded e-sports version of GT6. Meanwhile GT6 was 9 years ago. Considering that and the huge hardware improvement of the PS5, GT7 will be a massive upgrade, so I don’t mind them releasing a GT title every 5 years.

Also I'm a bit of a fanboy of the series regardless of the lack of car damage and that it isn't open-world. People say that makes it feel arcadey. I think it's actually one of the most in-depth sims outside of that though just gets a bad rap. It does have some arcade modes and whatnot but I love that shear depth of the selection of cars, the details of the cars, the real-time dynamic weather is going to be awesome in GT7, and in terms of the driving physics I think it's one of the better ones, if not the best. (Just MHO though)...

Actually I think it's been said the car damage issue is partly because they work so closely with the manufacturers and they really don't want give data on the weaknesses. Just not their focus..

GT, in my opinion, is about the best simulator there is out there. Aside from F1 Games.

The reason why I've been posting GT7 stuff is because Sony has realized how positively impactful it can be to port their exclusives to PC. HZD, GoW, Days Gone. There are credible rumors that GT7 will be ported to PC, just not this year.

I'd they do that, that will greatly help them out. It would be a very smart move. I don't mind waiting another year or two if it does come to PC

Same here. I played GoW when it first came out. Somehow it feels different, almost feels like I'm playing it for the very first time. I didn't get to fully enjoy the scenery and gameplay on a PS4. It hits different at 140+FPS on Ultra Quality.

Switching over to PC, as pricey as I have made it so far, has been one of the best financial move I've ever made. I'm sure the boss lady would beg to differ, but she doesn't seem to mind when she's ripping through gears on A.C

I built my PC with top components in 2016, it's still good for the majority of new games. But to truly enjoy GT7 I'd want to run it with maxed out settings, so my PC wouldn't handle it. With prices on GPUs these days, I'd rather get a PS5, lol.
Also, I don't think it's going to be released on PC anytime soon.

You wouldn't be wrong on buying a PS5 to play GT7. Another thing is actually getting your hands on one. One thing to consider is that Sony announced a scale back on PS5 production. So this move could benefit PC players in the sense that both Polyphony and Sony could possible be missing on thousands of dollars by keeping the game on PS5/PS4 while waiting on production to increase. Sony on the other hand, seeing how the PC sales on GoW have hit close to two million sales, will probably push for a sooner than expected port to PC.

This is all speculation on my part, of course. But there is a reason why Sony is still making PS4s, they know the current situation is not great to fully embrace the PS5 just yet, so porting to PC could be extremely beneficial. I would say maybe a year or so until we get the port, but it can always be sooner too.
