Yeah, I definitely remember hearing that! This break-in can't end soon enough. Snow and late-night maintenance shifts have banished me.

Yep, in my experience the throttle behaves much better when really thrashing the car. It also has the same horrible dead/lazy throttle behavior that the first gen had if you disconnect the battery. I didn't test to see if a throttle re-learn like the first gen would help.

Tunes will be available soon enough, that will include a fix for this.

I found my first quirk on a road trip this weekend...

The sun visors are terrible. When pulled down they leave a large gap between the outside edge of the visor and the A-pillar which renders them almost useless.

Heading due west this time of the year at my latitude, the setting sun will often sit right in that gap and the visors don't block anything.

A quirk I noticed is how the stability control reacts to holes when braking at low speeds. I live in a bumpy city and when pulling up to a light there's usually pot holes on the left side of the lane. Braking from about 15 to 0mph, if I go over a couple of holes, the stability control start dragging me left and I gotta correct. This is the only time it happens and I'm used to it now but just wondering if anyone else ran into this?

Can someone tell me if their heated seat buttons are backlit when its dark/at night?

Its one of the things ive noticed with the first gen...all the interior buttons are backlit red except the heated seat buttons (i think the side mirror adjust knob is also not lit). Only way you'd know its there is if they are on and the high/low setting lights are on.

found it a bit weird that these arent backlit in the first gen. I suppose it might have something to do with them not being available on the base model car.

Pretty sure my heated seat button's are lit. They sit so far back they are out of sight most of the time. I do remember being able to easily find them to turn them off in the dark this weekend.

I've not found any unlit buttons in the interior so far.

The 8" infotainment system is quirky. Often when I try to adjust the volume using the knob my finger triggers the touch screen in the top left of the screen, switching to FM Radio. My finger wasn't touching the screen, just the edge of the plastic frame. I also do this sometimes when trying to adjust the volume from the steering, if I brush the wrong button. Very sensitive!

At first I thought it was a bug, "Adjusting volume switches to FM", but came to the realization it was just touch sensitive and with consideration the issue is minimized.

In the first gen, they only light (amber) when you turn them on.

Confirmed, on my 22 Sport-Tech they are illuminated.

In case there was any question in a US vs. Canadian spec, I checked last night too. In my Limited, they are fully back lit as well.

Another quirk for you 2nd gen owners:
Is there a trunk grab handle in the second gen?

I wish there was one in the first gen to pull it down to close. Right now i pretty much grab the emergency trunk release latch enclosure and then the edge of the trunk deck right under the spoiler to slam the thing down to close it (since it requires a surprisingly hefty amount of force to close.....with that said....does the second gen need that much force to close the trunk?)

No handle built in, but you can use the rubber bumpers on the lip as a handle. Not much force to close.

No handle, but I've been closing it via the ends of the black trim piece that runs across the trunk. Seems to work.
