Plenty of other 2 seaters out there if i wanted...although they are all probably way more expensive as well. |

I'm in that group as well. I was considering any small, 2 door, rear wheel drive, manual with some sort of a back seat at least somewhat affordable. Not many cars in that criteria. I pretty much determined my only choices were BMW (2 or 4) or this car.

Me too. Have two kids and did not want to have to go home first to switch cars to pick them up. Needed that back seat every once and awhile.

She's fun to ride, but you don't want your friends to know. The only but I heard was about power. Shrug. The twin issue has never been with power. The issue has always been. Um. People complaining.

I’ll see your S15 and raise you an FD RX7, better proportions and perfect 50/50 weight distribution too I believe.

Any good reason to stick with 1st Gen?

That’s much easier to achieve given the rotary. It weighs 150lbs less than an FA motor, and it can be moved more aft because it’s so small. Also keep in mind that the RX-7 functionally doesn’t have a back seat. The BRZ’s back seat area is massive compared to the FD’s. I’m not convinced the initial FT86 design team was shooting for a 50/50 distribution. They wanted to build a drifty car that overwhelms its rear tires easily. Copying the distribution of the S15 and building a ton of anti squat into the rear suspension would both limit the amount of power you can put down, effectively what they were going for. My wife and tried it out in the showroom - me in drivers side rear seat, her in drivers seat. The driving position was cramped for her and I was fairly contorted, but 4 people our size could travel for 30 minutes or so in the car under emergency circumstances. The smaller the better. She's 5'11" and I'm 6'2" lol

What's worse though? The poor weight distribution or mac strut

In fairness the Mk IV Supra OEM rear seats are similar though they look more shallow and less like a butt bucket. Lexus SC on the other hand, that one looked decent. Sent from my Pixel 6 using Tapatalk |
