I'm surprised the Perrin 3" catback isnt more popular, I think it sound super good on the FA24 and the quality is top. It seems MXP is what people are going with the most if I look in different FB groups.

Because it's cheap. Literally 1/2 the price.

The Comps RS with it's little fart can mufflers, yes.

The MXP SP just as expensive as the Perrin and sounds great because it has real mufflers.

Can confirm, still really like my MXP SP. I could stand for it to be like maybe 15% louder though.

Well, I completely overlooked the Perrin. It’s sounds hella nice. I know I originally was planning to go with MXP, but like you said it seems EVERYONE is going with it. Originally it was my choice because I knew it fit. Couldn’t find the Greddy Evolution GT so I’m rocking the Invidia N2. Fitment was perfect btw.

Might be a good thing, may help keep noise down if you go with headers... or maybe not?

We may be seeing fewer Perrin 3.0s simply because Perrin hasn't been shipping them out for the last few months. I have one that's backordered with Perrin, they were hoping for mid-late January shipment, but that hasn't happened yet. Supply chain issues everywhere, so probably not much they can do.

Question for the exhaust experts here. I'm concerned that a full catback may be too loud, for my DD. I'd like to start with an axle back and go from there (probably the Borla once they make a new version for the 2022 midpipe connection). What is the chance that the aftermarket will in future come out with resonated midpipes that fit the factory axle back mount location? So I could expand the setup forward in future.

I've owned twins since 2013; any catback with a resonator and muffler (not a coffee-can muffler) will not be too loud to daily. The main concern for a DD IMHO is drone.

There are lots of good options that dont drone. Once you remove the header/cat thats where most noise comes from.

Check out the CSG x MXP Touring86. It'll keep your volume in check.
