Personally considering my BRZ is my daily all rear round, and I use the trunk very often to go skiing or trekking, the relatively spacious trunk for a sports car with seats folded down allowing for carrying long gear is a discriminator I would not go without. I can carry everything I need for a weekend long hpde, and weeklong camping road trip for two…I’ve carried up to 9feet long boxes in car with the trunk closed. This enables me to enjoy driving the car everyday day in 95+% of the situations, unless I need to carry more passengers or extreme winter storms. For me driving my car only of a « sunny summer sunday » feels like a waste of a valuable resource and lost opportunity for daily enjoyment driving it…

The Supra is a huge disappointment to me. It's just a Z4 hardtop in my mind. It's a great car, but not one I have even slightly lusted over. I have lusted over the gen 2 twin, but it's ugly, and I can't get over that.

If money was no option, I'd get the Supra 2.0 manual, base trim. With its weight of 1400kg that would be as close to modern Silvia as you can get. Perfect weight distribution, amazing handling for both grip and drift, adequate power, especially when you straight pipe it and tune it. Superior chassis, great engine. Yeah, I'd definitely get it.

You would need to install a LSD.

Being realistic, most people would take the more powerful and expensive car. Unless they didn't like the turn stalk

I'm still not sure as there is conflicting info on this, some say the 2.0 has a non-active limited slip (type, iunno), some say it has an open diff. Puzzling that this isn't nailed down, perhaps my google-fu is failing...

That means electronically controlled one. The 2.0l version has non electronic lsd, which is even better to me.

Remember, "money is not an option". You can always get a noice clutch type lsd which is the best option anyways.
