I have my front plate strapped to the passenger-side window visor with elastic bands. When I want a front plate, I just fold the visor down

Don't think that would fly well with the cops in most major cities. They don't allow front plates on the dash so I would think this is a no-no also.

It's not the best looking thing in the world, but the tow hook mount keeps my bumper without holes and my car completely legal.

they'll still ticket you for it. and it's more noticeable on the dash or visor than having no plates up front.

I got pulled over once already actually... in between the time the cop left his vehicle, and arrived at my door, i flipped it down - he said sorry, didn't notice it, and let me be on my way

This is why I just said screw it, and installed it. I don't need to give cops another reason to pull me over
