So originally I was going to use an m90 I had gotten off of a buick. The problem is it's difficult to intercool and I don't particularly like the idea of water meth injection. I'm on ethanol so I could've gotten away with it, until I had to use 91.

I wanted positive displacement and I was looking at ways to use fmic for air charge cooling.

Enter the amr500. Inexpensive, compact, can be mounted in any orientation and spin in any direction. Too small to be useful by itself, but two of them?

It gives 1000cc per revolution which is the same as the sprintex 210; however, they also have a higher maximum continuous rpm than the sprintex.

Two of these are pretty much perfectly sized for a stock block 86. You're looking at a Max of about 330 to 350 whp.

With the pulley setup I'm using, it will have about 275 to start off. I'll probably raise it up once I get larger injectors.

This morning I'm redoing the pulley setup to make them easily swappable.

I'll be doing a detailed build thread also.

Jaden

P.s. one of the best things about it is the known ccs per rev, which is identical to the sprintex 210. You can look at the compiled spreadsheet from that blower to accurately estimate what this one will do.

After two weeks, I couldn’t stand not driving her due to being out of town and the weather. The roads are reasonably plowed and sanded up here in the PNW. Drove to Costco for ramen only to remember they are closed today.

Anyways, HAPPY NEW YEAR! May your mods be plentiful and your bearings un-spun.

Cut away enough of the "dribble" lip so that a sandwich plate can now sit where it is supposed to.... lower, more compact and making way more sense.
(no need for a riser plate and its extra seal)

While I'm waiting for a buddy to get a night free to help me set the timing and put the timing cover back on, I took out the exhaust manifold studs, cleaned them up real nice and put them back in.

Played snowplow last week and the lip didn't survive a very snowy looking chunk of ice.

At least no bumper damage!

A bumper is less expensive than that STI lip.

For the part yes, but not if including painting. Bodywork/paint is really damn expensive around here.

Ah well.. I'm replacing it with a much cheaper lip because I'm sure this won't be the last time this happens.

The first time I went off the track did the same and tore up my STI lip. I purchased a knock off and put the STI badge on it. It did not fit as well as the STI version but was only $100 instead of $500.
