Speaking of getting into the first thousand miles, anyone planning on doing a post-break-in oil change?

I did. Habit. Probably not necessary. I'll admit, likely a placebo effect, but I do plan on keeping this car until either it, or I, expires, so it seems a small price to pay.

I did today, there were some big metal chips allocated on the oil filter. Not sure if everyone will be the same case, but I think would be good for peace of mind.

At 1700. Got it local factory order with 5 miles on it, So every bit of driving was spent on back roads in PA following the 1k break in period.. And to get a feel for the car before i try anything cocky or playful.

Discovered some really nice serpentine wavy roads and great hairpin turns on a few lengthy mountain roads in NEPA, A lot of barely used back roads through miles of wilderness without seeing other cars. It was perfect. Was really fun exploring with it, been awhile since i threw some playlists together and just drove aimlessly.

To you guys who upgraded from the first gen.

How is the car on long stretches of highway? Is it quieter?

Sitting at a bit over 1,400 miles and have had it for around 40 days. It’s my daily except when expecting heavy rain because our roads suck and flood. I drive an SUV those days and on weekends with the family if driving longer distance. We do stuff the kid in the back of the BRZ from time to time though.
