IMHO, I have just ordered a silver DD, why? Because Silver is great at looking clean and hides surface scratches really well. Darker colours for weekend toy?

I'm also debating between the Ice Silver & the Pavement in Premium trim but leaning towards the GR86 since I think the extended duck bill spoiler is way less offensive than the BRZ front end. I think these pics verified my inclinations since the Pavement looks really good. My $0.02, I'd wait for the GR86 since it's only a week away.

I think I've settled on the GR86. I agree with the sentiment about the duck bill being less offensive than the BRZ front license plate mount. I'm sure the Pavement will be a little less maintainence friendly. I'm guessing a good ceramic coat will help with up keep. I have other vehicles in the stable too.

There's no wrong choice, but I'm biased since there is now a silver BRZ in my garage. Frankly, I'd drive either the BRZ or 86 in any color they come in since my objective is to learn RWD dynamics via autocross.

Which ever color you decide, make it a priority to change out the yellow side markers with either the JDM clears or smoked! That's what I'll be doing!

Gotta love mods that take 5 minutes to install and dramatically improve the look! Interesting that the actual light is higher in the marker on the clear one where on the yellow it's centered.

Pavement is lighter than Asphalt, but they look fairly similar when its dark.
It also has more prominent light/dark transitions.

Same situation with Ice Silver and the older silver (Argento on the 86...i dont remember what its called on the Subaru side)

Argento was bland in all light conditions, Ice Silver has more prominent light/dark transition.
