Was a bit of a dicey drive though, even with my winter tires on. Being just a touch of light snow i dont think it was really sanded or plowed...I even struggled up an incline a little bit (the speed limit was 100km/hr but i struggled to go up any faster than about 75 before the road flattened out)

On my way back home i took an alternate route through the city center which was lower speed and was far more stable feeling lol (and alot more traffic lol).

In the end, did not crash......
I find this car prefers lower tire pressures in the dicey conditions. I do prefer filling to the recommended 35 psi but with snow and such I feel like 32ish is better. I still run 35 though lol

Ooo, I hadn't run across the IRP before. How do you like it?

It’s pretty good. It rattles though so it is annoying. On mine I find I have to be more deliberate with my shift into 5th gear when driving hard.

Do you have the v3 with the anti-rattle bits? Been reading mixed feedback on that.

Yes it is the updated V3. I believe a lot of it comes from the way it interfaces with the rod from the transmission. The stock shifter has rubber and nylon bits where the shaft goes into the shifter. The IRP has a metal bushing.

Installed the whiteline transmission insert (i've had the Perrin rear shifter mount and STI engine mounts installed for a while). For anyone who's installed the Perrin rear shifter mounts, highly recommend you finish the job and add the whiteline transmission insert. It got rid of so much of the bucking/back and forth when coasting or trying to lightly add throttle in stop and go situations. If you're not going to do both i wouldn't do either one.

Noise- a lot more noise in 2nd gear (whining) but i find it fun.
Vibration- a lot more when the engine is cold. When warmed up i can't say its a huge deal.

But these two mods make it so much easier to downshift it's crazy, shifter just snicks into gear whereas before i'd either have to wait for it to slide into gear or just double clutch. Especially downshifting to 2nd gear.

GoPro suction mount on the rear window. Nothing fancy but it gets the job done. All my footage comes out upside down though so going through footage gives me a headache.

Attended a 101 course on braking and control in the middle of a massive downpour. It was postponed soon after - and luckily too as the area was later locked in by rising floods.

DIY sidesplitters

Here's a mock up of my side splitters. It will be 1/8" ABS air dam material and fastened it to bottom of the rocker with double back Gorilla tape and nylon fasteners. It will probably be 98% cosmetic and 2% aero.
