Jfc not this oil cooling isn't necessary/tribology bullshit again.
I'll be interested to hear all about the oil temps and pressure readings for gen2 regardless and seeing how the 2.4 handles things. Biggest thing I've noticed is the straight rods instead of offset. |

Wrong. With a lightweight flywheel is the way to go!

I will most likely upgrade the radiator and/or low temp thermostat as well as a different coolant mixture (30/70 maybe) Quote:
![]() Where is the oil temp sensor located? in the oil pan?

FWIW the red mark on the factory gauge is ~250F indicated, halfway between the 230F mark and the max 270F mark. I've never seen coolant temps rise beyond the ~225F (or whatever it is, could be 230?) indicated at the track, always hits same mark and holds. Honestly if I'm you, if it doesn't try to increase from there for your usage, I wouldn't worry about cooling system mods. If it ever does get to a point where it wants to climb uncontrolled, easy enough to back off and then make mods as required. Quote:

Memory is a little dodgy on this as sometimes I have the temp gauge at "normal" setting with no numbers for *F, and sometimes I have it in the alternate setting where it shows tickmarks at 150F/190F/230F/270F, and they're different scales. In any case I'd see it go up and hold in a "normal" part of the range so didn't think about it much, more keeping eye on oil temp... |
