Ok thanks. I just figured it was mine, but I'd be happy to get it earlier still some Subaru still says October.

Likely not the same car. I would just give it a few days and check in with them again.
You lucky mofo, that's 10days away! Really hope mine isn't far from it.

Well I told ya they'd show up in the PNW first towards the end of October haha.

Anyways, I have a wedding in Ohio to go to next week so it's going to sit at the retailer for almost a week. I told them they can leave it on the showroom floor if it stays locked. It'll be a nice gesture for them to actually have something sitting around for a few days.

Just got off the phone with SOA again. Still says my car is scheduled for October. No Vin, but he thinks I'll have one by the end of the week. He said he'll email me personally with an update on Friday so I don't need to call back.

I called earlier today because I saw the post about the VIN, and I too had ordered lightning fast on that first day, but they gave me the same story - no VIN but still October estimate.

I called SOA today too. Wanted to see what they showed for an ETA now that I have my VON, and since the dealer was guessing at the February date. SOA said they show third week of December! I'm prepared for it to be delayed to Jan, but either is better than Feb. December would also be perfect to keep my trade offer more intact.

Just FYI, my dealer couldn’t tell me the VON for some reason, but the nice lady on the phone somehow could SMH… anyways, if you know the dealer it is possible to access the VON without any other information.

Got your order in? Share your build.

I still don’t understand why they don’t have a VON tracker online. The overhead for it isn’t much compared to keeping their website running. Something as simple as ordered/scheduled/VIN assigned/built/shipped/port arrival/port departure/dealer arrival.

BMW sends you updates along the assy line AND sends you a video of the car being built!

Couple things. First, BMW is a luxury brand.

Second, why develop a website where you have to go enter in information and seek it out when there's already an automated system to just send you the info? I know you seem to have been having trouble getting those emails, so I would encourage you to call into the Customer Advocacy department and mention that to them. If there is an IT or process issue preventing you from receiving emails, you're probably not alone and I'm sure they'd like to get that fixed for you.

I haven't received any emails either, and I've confirmed SOA has my email.

So for anyone who hasn't received an email that thinks they should have, I would start by contacting your dealer. They can run a report on any sold order communication sent. So that will at least troubleshoot if it got sent to a spam folder or something. If they don't show you were sent an email, I would call the customer advocacy dept and ask them to work on getting that fixed for you, above and beyond just verifying an email is on file.
