had another one i originally ordered that was an entirely different style, didn't think it would work, but it bolted up, and the spark checker confirmed it worked right. motor fired right up on starting fluid. but didn't seem to be sucking fuel. got the fuel trims setup so it would run with a really lumpy idle, but high speed didn't exist. then it all stopped, plug fouled, starting fluid stopped working, and i went back to square one. i can get it to hiccup and jump once in a while if i slam the valves shut and swing them open, but that's it anymore... now i'm getting suspicious of the chinesium carb i got... i'm somewhere near $80-100 in parts into this.. a new motor is about $160... i'm leaning towards the motor to just make it work frustrating. i've never had this much issues getting a motor to work.. i've rescued close to a dozen other small motors under similar circumstances with nothing more than a spark plug, and sometimes a little carb work...

i did think about it. it bolts up to 2 bolts on a parallel vertical plane with the magnet/crankshaft with up/down slots to adjust it's distance from the crank. all i can do is run it backwards, which makes for less of a spark.
magnet is riveted to the flywheel, so i can't adjust it's location either.

Dude this absolutely sucks, my car is covered in small dents now. Is not even a full fall season yet.
I have no idea what to do. Maybe park on the street for the remainder of the season.

PDR? Get a padded cover? Parking somewhere not under a tree is a good plan for now if it is available.

I have mostly heard bad things about covers, how condensation can build and affect the paint. But I'm more likely going to park the car on the street until the tree goes bald. After that I just have to worry about the giant dying branches hanging on top of the cars.
