OKAY went to the dealership this morning and it was all rather no hassle. Although reading the TSB on here I was concerned that they were going to actually check my headlights. Since I have HIDs I didn't want them to just flip them on and turn them off. Don't want any burnt HIDs... Anyway I switched them back to stock bulbs before I went but they didn't check. The guy was pretty straight up and just ordered it. He said it'd be here within the next few days. He said to contact him on Wednesday/Thursday if he doesn't reach out to me first. He also said that when we do get in touch that we could discuss what customizations I would want to have done (disable DRL, honk when armed, etc) and he should be able to just add that to the install instructions. He said it should only take about 1.5 hours or so to do. Also important is that I bring back all my keys in the event that they have to reprogram all of them since it's a new ECU.
Hope this helps anyone that is looking to get this done! |

I gotta friend at the dealership & I got him to show me all the things u can customise on our cars on the techstream. I got the trunk to open by just pressing the button, I got the alarm beep to not sound at all when locking (i wanted it louder, but he accedently turned it off), we got the drls to turn off, the headlight auto off delay set to 30secs, & I think there were a couple other neat tricks I'm forgetting but that's for the most part.

I'm not sure. I could have sworn there was an option to change that too, but I like that so I didn't even give it a second look

Its probably the timer for when you turn the ignition off but leave the lights on. They will turn off automatically after x seconds.

Will I be able to do this at any Scion dealers? Don't want to drive far from where I bought it.

Since I ordered my car 2 weeks ago and it had to be ordered from Factory (since they did not have the color tranny combo I wanted that was option free) should my car have the new ECU already??
