Just compare all cars on the same tires, problem solved.
Now, that's expensive for the reviewers 😕

Does not disappoint! Best review so far.

His first comment on YouTube says he is considering ordering one.

Interesting that many people are saying the same thing about the Primacy tires: These are the more engaging tire when combined with all of the suspension and chassis changes.

He said the same thing in a one take about the 1st gen car when he drove one that had better rubber on it.

I get where he is coming from, but my needs for a daily driver are a little different.

Once, in my first gen (on stock primacies) I was driving to work in the rain and the rear end just let go around a two lane corner onto the highway feeder. The car drifted beautifully across the wet pavement and no harm was done but the cars driving parallel to me were probably not amused. Within a couple weeks I had new rubber on it. I eventually went with wider wheels and pilot super sports, which I just loved, the cornering grip was incredible, but if you really hucked it in and stabbed the throttle you could still induce oversteer easily.

Yea, my experience with the Primacies was similar to yours, they are great if you want to hone around a track sideways, but you better be gentle in the real world. If you look at my owner's journal one of my first entries is how I think the tires were a hazard on the road.

even if you could, cars are designed to be optimized with the OEM tire.

Agree, re: SmokingTire’s driving experience and expertise.
But Matt generally seems to prefer power on track or in canyons vs small displacement/small Japanese vehicles that shine best when low speed thrashed on the street.
I see his review is up, looking forward to watching regardless.

Matt Farah understands the car for what it is.

He makes a good point about the tires, I’ve always thought the primacies were great once I tried them (my car came with some shit coopers on it). I wish you could get the higher trim with the 17s and primacies.

Haha, I am going the other way, thinking about getting the base trim and using the money saved for upgrading the wheels/tires. I won't use the primacies for daily driving in Houston traffic.

I'm sure someone would buy the base wheels with primacies from me.

I am not a fan of alcantara! And I don't care about heated seats, for me the only drawback would be the cheaper sound system. If there were a traditional leather interior I would go for that.

A lot of the reviews keep talking about GR Performance accessories that will be offered.

Anyone seen any additional info on what they will be? Subaru has had the STI list out for awhile now.

After watching the reviews, I can't help but strongly dislike the dark, bland interior stitching. I'm not sure why, but that grey stitching and center stripe on the seats just doesn't pop. I like that the BRZ at least has contrast stitching that's more noticeable.

Chris Amos gives the base trim a quick, slidy lap.
