I hate that too. I try not to bump my threads unless its new information.

"ALL PMS REPLIED" needs to be dropped, the customer would know that when they received the PM, no need to tell the rest of the forum.

I'm a vendor and other vendors bumping their several posts pisses me off.
If you have nothing to add, don't post. Don't have a price, don't post.

In fact, I think bumping should be banned site wide.

Are there any specific forum rules against publicly posting a price given in a PM?

Bump rule: once every 8 hours.

I know on another forum that I use you can't bump a for sale thread as there is a timer that needs to count down first.

Since this is about vendors, could we assign a color to their names so that we know the vendor is online-just like mods that have a red name.

This is my biggest pet peeve with this site, the out of control "buy from me" and bumping of posts by vendors. I tried putting the offenders on my ignore list, but their posts still show up. I usually browse the forums using the "New Posts" feature, and it seems like half the threads are commercial sale posts by a few vendors. I absolutely refuse to buy from vendors who resort to tactics like this (and I spend a lot of money annually on car mods), and if it keeps up my visits to the forum will be cut back to once or twice a week instead of daily.

That's why our boss have made a new policy in Classified section

  • 3) You must list a price for the product/service - may be actual selling price, MSRP, or MAP (but may ask to be PM'd for discounts)..

Well the Vendors could be Blue, mods can stay red. It easier to spot vendors in the pile of members.

I'd like to see a group-buy sub-forum in both classified areas.

Members are already blue. Orange would catch the eye for sure Ichi.

Horrible color choice for the vendors...I can barely tell them apart from the regular users.

Really? They're a much brighter blue, I find them easy to pick out.
