Suggestion for vendor rules...

Can you limit the vendors to only 2 active for sale threads in each of the vendor classifieds sub forums? Some of the vendors are flooding each of the sub forums with a half dozen threads... sometimes for the same exact products. It's cluttering, and it doesn't let people (like me) easily see the various vendors and products on a single page, I haveto sift through lots of that duplicate crap to see the different things for sale.

Also require vendors to post prices? Even if they need PMs to get the lowest pricing, maybe they can post the MSRP, and then a "PM for lowest price" so we can at least get some sort of ballpark figure going. Seems like there's almost no pricing in most of the threads- tough to compare products without pricing.

Yeah im a vendor and i always post price.

So iritating to see all threads with "PM for best pricing"!

Could we restrict vendor sales threads to the commercial sales sections only?

There are several vendors who are spamming the discussion threads with 'buy from us' posts.

I don't mind vendors participating in discussion, but I'd prefer that their sales threads stay in the vendor section.

I think all vendors should be posting price excluding shipping cost as this will vary from location to location and if folks are keen pm can be the next step.

so... no comments about vendor rules?

Next suggestion of course is only allowing one bump per day per thread.

the vendor classifieds are somewhat worthless in their current state. If they don't get cleaned up, it's gonna just continue to be a huge pile of crap that's nearly un-usable.

We mods & admin do talk bout vendor policies... just wait for our boss to post about all the policy & etc.

So til our boss makes a sticky, just report it when vendors go outside of classify section to advertise.

I brought this issue up in this thread, http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10068

I also hate how they say "Ready to ship" yet they don't have the products in stock and expect you pay for it with out a time of arrival.:mad0259:

The bumping of threads is what kills me. I keep checking to see if anyone has posted more info about the product/vendor (experience, install, gains) in the thread to find out the only new post is "Bump, orders shipped/pm replied."

When is this being cleaned up and/or looked into? The lack of vendor oversight is insane. The vendor for sale forums are ridiculous.
