All the news, images, and videos are very interesting and great fun to see. But I want to both see reviews from auto journalists, and most of all, see and drive one for myself.

Until then, it's all speculation and conjecture.

That's exactly what I told my local dealer when he contacted me after I filled out the order request form. I asked him to reach out when he has something to show me. At this point, he has no idea when that will be.

In the first video in the post above, there's too much purple in that darker blue which makes it unappealing, hopefully it is just an artefact of poor video colour balance.

^ The blue does look great in those areas where the sunlight is reflecting directly from it, but otherwise IMO it's too purple. The gray suits this car really well though, maybe better than it did the old one.

Just watched this, that MGM paint just looks gorgeous on this car. Very high quality video.

You could buy the base model and get the Sti 18inch forged on it. Would probably cost the same as the entire premium upgrade haha.

But bronze against that dark blue would look nice.

It does look amazing.

Check the weirdness @4:15 and then the colours on the red GR86 - pretty amazing light from the hip.

no real reason to pay the extra for the premium trim for this second gen IMO.

with the first gen, if you wanted the nicer hvac, you needed to get the premium. it looks like this new gen, the hvac controls are same for premium and non-premium trims.

I dunno, I feel like Limited trim is better now that it has been before. Different wheels and tires and an upgraded sound system should make it sell pretty well.

to each their own. limited spec wheels/tires will be sold for $400 in the used market once these cars are sold to the public. subaru has never been known to provide quality factory sound system. i don't expect the brz limited trim to be good either.

I think the better reason to choose one over the other is: Blind-Spot Detection with Lane Keep Assist and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert; Steering Responsive Headlights.

Trying to swap those out will be over $2500. For those who don't want it, the premium is a great option.

The Harmon Kardon systems are fantastic. Right now the limited trim has "upgraded" stereo and they don't mention HK, so who knows if that'll be the case, but all in all I will guess that Limited 6MT will still be the best seller out of the 4 options.

Lane-keep assist will only be on the AT's, but I agree that these will all be expensive swaps. I think it just depends on where people have priorities.

That must be a misprint from the press release page, and it should read lane change asssist.
