Well, to be fair, game isn't probably the right word, more that it's a mental attitude, and understanding it and you are part of the training.

I do have to wonder how much of the behind the barracks attitude adjustment sessions can go on these days.

That's also why there are a lot of civilian contractors that are being brought in to help train current troops for the new fitness standards too. So it's not just incoming recruits but also active members.

None because the Air Force doesn't have barracks. They have dormitories.

Oh, I imagine not much "adjustment" takes place behind the barracks these days.

I recall, back in the old Army, I had "on call" duty officer one night. Late one night I was called to the post and 2 NCOs had collared one drunk soldier. I asked him if he knew who he was - he said yes, you're Lt humfrz and you are an a-hole just like all other officers!

Then he pulled a knife on me and that hit me the wrong way. One of the duty NCOs wrestled the knife away from him and I threw him through a wall (literally). OK, it was more of a divider.

The soldier yelled "I'm going to have you court martialed for striking an enlisted man". I ordered the NCO and his driver to take that sorry SOB down to the lock up.

The next morning was summoned to the infirmary to explain to the doctor and the S-1, what "happened" to that soldier. Yep, he was beat up real good. The S-1 said that the duty NCO said he fell down a flight of stairs on the way to the brig. I said hmmmm....... could of been -

No more court martial talk from that soldier!

You, Sir, are my kind of Lt. I'm pretty sure Airborne/Ranger Master Sergeant GranddadHawk would have approved.
