Multiply it by 2x above Denali, add some nice tech, and you have an Escalade.

but absolutely nothing beat the number of rebadging that gm did in the 80's.

I would agree with the second statement too.
This is an overstatement of the effort GM puts in to differentiate their products.

You can get the Chevy with leather too. Perhaps it's Corinthian?

Here I disagree. The Escalade has significant differences versus the lesser Chevys. Nicer leather. Nicer design. Nicer sound deadening.

No, we're on the same page, but it's still a Tahoe/Suburban in Princess clothing.

That was pretty funny. Either he rented the wrong car, he borrowed a car from his parents or something, his rich parents bought him a car, he won the car, he bought a car just on looks or popularity without much research, or he is trolling us. It actually doesn’t look like he is trolling. While it is possible he bought the car without much research, it seems more likely that someone bought it for him or that he is borrowing a car.

I don’t know how relevant this would be, and I could see the reverse happening in a future with more electric stations and less ICE vehicles where someone tries to change an ICE. People are idiots. Cases in point, and I’ve seen people trying to put diesel in a gasoline car and wondering why it won’t fit.

Have you sat in the new Escalade yet? It's actually pretty nice. Like legitimately nice. Like 10-year-old 7 series nice. So still behind the times, but no longer 30 years behind the times.

Yea, it's pretty sweet. I love the new dash.

Full disclosure, I have cars where it's on the passenger side, and on the driver's side, and I have pulled in the wrong way in every one of them at some point. To my credit though, I don't recall having to correct twice on the same fill-up!

The Alfa is the first car I've had with the fuel door on the driver's side. Every single time I go to fill it up I start saying "driver's side, driver's side, driver's side..." in my head until I'm at the pump. Still screwed it up once.

Edit: Actually I think the FiST did as well, but that thing was small enough that the hose would still reach.

Most modern cars have an arrow above the fuel gauge to denote what side the fuel door is on.

The only car I own that has that is the FRS. Even so, who looks at the fuel gauge for directional guidance. From what I've seen that is more common if the fuel door is on the passenger side.

I also have owned cars (many years ago) where it was in the middle of the rear, or in the front, oh and hidden behind the tail light on top of the fins.
