Glad to hear people at competition Subaru were really helpful.
You did sit in my car! Someone else on the reddit post apparently took it for a test drive. I negotiated a grand off of the price because it was the demo car, but the general consensus on this forum seems to say that demo cars are toxic purchases....It has been great so far and I didn't have to stair at a deposit slip for half a year!

Sorry about the car.

The pics of the kid are hilarious IMO. One looks likes he is ready to have cuffs thrown on him. The other looks like he is waiting to be patted down!

I disagree, the problem isn't age since people can be immature idiots at any age.

It's education and seat time.
Turning 20 isn't going to magically make you understand the implications of being behind the wheel.
BTW, In some states, the lowest age you can drive IS 18.

IMO if somebody wants to learn how to drive they should be able to in a controlled environment from the earliest age their feet can reach the pedals and their eyes can see over the dashboard. And once the instructor or whoever certifies them they should be able to drive on the road with all other motorists.
I agree that there are idiots at any age. However, a younger person who is probably still in highschool will usually not have a full understanding of how their actions will can affect people. That is why people always say teenagers think they are invincible, because life hasnt happen to them yet. Yes you can learn how to drive once your feet can reach the pedals, and you can be the best driver around. that doesnt mature the mind, or give you the life experiences of consequences and regret.

That does look nice, but be careful - New York has been pretty strict with tint lately (especially on Long Island). 70% is the lowest you can go by NYS law. Among the worst in the country.

By the way - I'm the guy from Reddit that test drove your car, fancy seeing you here

With age comes experience & wisdom.

TO OP: Sucks man. If it was me I'd have him pay me for a whole new car. Maybe a Limited

Wow. Sorry to hear about your accident, but I'm glad you're ok. That's what's most important. I've been in your shoes before so I can imagine what you're going through, but try to put everything in perspective. You're ok and the car can be repaired. It's all in the attitude. Take it in stride!

Glad you're okay. Let's see pictures of the cello, or you playing it.

It's a beautiful instrument.
