It would be fun to fart around in one now. So many childhood memories in our '59 bus.

The all-new 2022 Ford Maverick
Jesus it’s 2021, what are those reflector housings doing on that truck?
I can buy a set of Morimoto D2S projectors on eBay for $40, so why are we as consumers forced to settle for shit headlights? |

Looks like Ford hired designers from Dacia.

It is more like the CUV of trucks instead of SUV. FWD, CVT, unibody (right?) instead of body on frame. This design might justify the reason for building something so similar to the size of the Ranger; it is because it is so different.

Let's see, CVT, no.
Base truck only comes in black, gray, white and blue. To get the color I want (Rapid Red, which is really cherry red) it takes the price from $19,000 to over $33,000 with simple click. Also it can't be used as a generator as far as I can tell (like the 150 hybrid). No thanks Ford.

Visit my Owner's Journal where I wax philosophic on all things FR-S Post your 86 or see others in front of a(n) (in)famous landmark. What fits in your 86? Show us the "Junk In Your Trunk". Last edited by Dadhawk; 06-09-2021 at 07:32 AM. |

i would be ok with a base model with limited colors. i would rather drop $20k+ on something like this vs a Civic or Corolla.

It will definitely have an audience. There will be the buyer who would want the utility of a truck, but with the economy and weight of a sedan. Think of this as a lifted El Camino or maybe like a Subaru Baja.

This is going to sell fantastically well.
Also this would sell even more if it were an EV.
