The monitor that I just got just went down on sale, again, this time is listed at $299. First things first, I'm getting a price match. Next, I would highly suggest getting this monitor because for the price, you get quite a bit of goodies.

The GIGABYTE 32" LED Curved QHD FreeSync Monitor with HDR is great, really neat. I still need to calibrate it using Toms hardware software. But initial thoughts about it are favorable. Comes with all the cables you'll need, and then some. HDMI cables, dual display, and Display Port cable. Different outlet connections too. Assembly takes about 3 minutes with a cross and flat screwdriver.
Some of the neat features is the FPS display that can be places on either corner of the monitor. I tested this playing Far Cry 5 at 1440 Ultra settings, no HDR, and my FPS were in the high 60s low 70s. Which is about right. For the giggles I played Need for Speed: Carbon, 170+ FPS at Max display and rendering settings.
Using the Display Port is the only way you can unlock the 165Hz refresh rate. Using HDMI it will only allow you to unlock 144hz refresh.
There's another feature I have yet to try, and that is the cross-hair feature, apparently is supposed to place a cross-hair for you to improve your experience using FPS games.
For $299 I'd say this is a pretty solid choice if you play at 1080/1440 settings, that 165hz refresh rate is really solid.

Even though this reminds me of the days where I would lineup to get the latest Call of Duty for the midnight release at GameStop during High School, this is just sad, 200 people lined up. Big retailers not giving a flying F about their customers as long as they made their money. I think the only one that did it right was Newegg, because at least you had a chance to win the shuffle and guaranteed a purchase. Whereas smashing the F5 button waiting for a drop would be pointless and hopeless because by the time you checkout, all cards would be sold out. Amazon, Facebook Marketplace, Ebay have done nothing about price gouging. Can't completely blame it on manufacturers because of the conditions of the past year, but better measures could've been taken by retailers to protect their customers and secure purchases.

It's also very rare you will see something in stock online too. Yesterday I had a golden moment where on AMD's website all of their processors were available at stock price! Both of their 6800xt and 6900xt were available, too. An hour later, all of it was out of stock.

AMD mostly keeps the 5600 X in stock. But even when a 6700XT might not say "Add to Cart" If you click on it, on the card's page, it will say Add to Cart, but it won't get you past the checkout page. I think AMD kind of broken, is like their system doesn't realize that they actually sold out so it keeps saying 'Add to Cart"

Should've gotten it for me you foo. JK. both 6800 and 6900 are out of my price range. I'm looking to get a 6700, 3070 or 3060ti. Since they're all in she same range spec and price wise.

I really should have! It would have fit in my NZXT H1 too which can't be said about 3080 or even 3070 cards.

For some reason I thought the Radeon cards are a bit chunkier than RTX ones. But I do know that the new RTXs are THHICCC.

Thicc yes, but it would have fit if I took the dust cover off. But I'd need to upgrade the power supply and that would have been an extra $250

I think the new RTXs suggest a 700W PS, and best buy has a Corsair 750W Fully modular for less than $100.

For those looking for a GPU, the 3070ti FE is scheduled to release today on Best Buy around 9AM EST. Usually the stock gets updated around 11 AM EST until 12:30. ut I would keep an eye all day since recently B.B has altered their restock schedules.
