That looks great. Too bad the car doesn't actually look like that. This is like it's prettier sister.

We get it, you don't like the 2nd gen . . . lots of other threads for the first gen where I'm sure you'll be much happier . . .

Well, OK then. But if you think that drawing looks like MK2 you may need to check your own opinion about the upcoming version.

Honestly, I like the Toyota version better than the Subaru version.

I love both models! I love the BRZ because it looks like a goofy teenager that just got his braces off and has a big shit eating grin, I smile every time I see it. As a subaru it should be a little quirky -- like the old bug eyes.

I also love the GR 86, it's simpler, minimalistic, a little meaner -- everything you need and nothing you don't.

I never said anything about the picture but let's talk about that, it inspired someone to dream. Do you like crapping on other people's dreams? I don't think you do. But we get old and cranky and want things to be a certain way usually inspired by our idealized youths at some point and time . . . but here we are . . .

Check my own opinion -- I don't even know what to do with that, but I'll be sure to ask my therapist at my next session when we discuss my multiple personalities.

hugs and kisses

It looks like a stanced gen 2 with a lip kit and wing to me.

Just want to apologize for my random out burst yesterday, I normally don't like inane internet arguments. Also sorry for picking out Dadhawk specifically as I enjoy his posts and contributions to the forum.

I was recently forced to give up drinking which makes me moody and sarcastic. I was a happy drunk but somehow not drinking is supposed to be better for me . . . irony

No problem @scuzzy. I didn't fill attacked at all, just took it in stride. It takes a lot to ruffle my feathers.

Best of luck on your trip to sobriety. I've had family members that went through this, or should have, and it is not easy.

So when is this car supposed to actually enter production and hit dealer lots? Toyota's USA website doesn't even mention it in their current fleet of cars or upcoming vehicles.

Was "supposed" to enter production this spring with Fall availability in the USA.

Based on shots of parking lots in Japan with GR86s/ BRZs parked there, I would say they are in production already. These early models are likely destined for press events and journalists though. I'd wager late September or early October when you can buy one. So still 4 or 5 months out.

See the other thread on this forum, they've just started teasing GR 86 on their Twitter.

Totally. I wanted to like the GR Supra and followed its development pretty closely and with lots of interest. All the specs made sense. But the car could not grow on me and most of that comes down to the fact that it's so awkwardly designed with a lot of busy elements. I'm hoping a refresh could change that and make it more elegant the way the GR86/BRZ is but I doubt that'll happen.
