Are TNGA and e-SGP basically interchangeable now?
I would bet they are the same with different designations. Again it goes right in hand with their announcements a couple of years ago.

Almost every new and announced EV crossover looks like an I-Pace.

Yep! The term "architecture" is far more descriptive than "platform" for the modern cars. I have spent many hours on here trying to get that across to people that think it is still the 60s or 70s where everything built on the A- platform (Chevelle, 442, Tempest, etc etc) had to be the exact same dimensions since it was a fixed sized frame or the 80s K Cars all built on the same unibody.
The "platforms" now are more like a set of Lego blocks that can be built to any size or shape using a common set of components but not restricted to one configuration. Both the Subaru and Toyota marking crowds made a big deal about how their new platforms were designed from the very start to accommodate EV, Hybrid and ICE set ups with little to no changes required.

Even with software it's very similar IMO. We build "platforms" but the platforms are built to be extensible and can generally be used by many different systems, occasionally with slight modifications and such. You can even get platforms that have a standard name, and then some company comes along and modifies it in X way and "renames" it something a bit different. It doesn't mean it's a different system altogether, just that it's being used as the core and then modified in whatever ways are needed.

I'm just waiting for someone to build a compact, fun-to-drive coupe like the twins on an EV platform.
I may end up walking the rest of my life... well, I have the BRZ for now of course but it won't last forever.

i'm starting to remember why i hold on to vehicles well past their sell-by date, usually at increased maintenance costs, and stress from having to find time to work on them...

That's why I don't sell my old vehicles, ever. I drive them until they aren't worth fixing anymore and then I just get rid of them. People are such a PITA.

We will get our turn when there is the next major blackout!

Oh wait...
You can't pump gas then either.
We are screwed either way.
The EV guys win this round.

Saw this add watching the news this morning. It made me home sick. The gal on the motorcycle is in the Santa Cruz hills, and at the end pulls into Apple Jacks bar in La Honda. I miss those hills.
