Point proven! I can find guns, ammo, car parts, or computer parts, but they are all substantially overpriced. Especially computer parts! $2500+ for a $650 graphics card O_o

The big one here is simple building supplies. A 2x4 that was $3 a year ago is now $10. Between the reduced supply and the huge demand (people stuck at home doing projects) the cost of any project has tripled. There is not a hope in hell I would want to be halfway through building a house right now.

A client of mine is remodeling just her bathroom, and it's insane how much they are being charged for supplies or parts. Luckily I'm simply renting so I don't have a care to upgrade or fix anything.

Some things have become overpriced due to demand, some because of worker/material shortages.

I have been waiting on a shipping container of engines from Honda that was supposed to arrive 4/1. It hasn't left Thailand yet and they don't have a sail date. Our rubber rollers are months behind. Polyurethane rollers I can get in normal lead times. Control electronics out of Europe have doubled in lead time, HF chargers out of Italy still normal lead times

Roofing material, counter tops, and cabinets seem to have normal prices and lead times. Composite siding is easy to get and same prices. Wood products you need to take out a mortgage to buy.

That might explain why my 4500 pound hybrid 86 is delayed.

It sucks but that is why you can't find parts right now.
I haven't forgotten about COVID, but I was looking at headers and clutch kits a few months ago and I don't recall anything being on preorder or out of stock. Mostly looked at JDL and Invidia's headers at the time. I ended up copping a set of Borla uncatted UEL headers from someone on Facebook, and a Fidanza aluminum flywheel. I'm sure my impatience will bite me in the ass somehow lol

I wanted to change up my exhaust, HKS says it's 16 weeks before it's in stock (maybe). lol
What handgun are you looking for? I was thinking of going for my CCW recently, and I have had nothint but good experiences with the Ruger LC9. Was thinking of going for either that or the P365 from SIG. I'm not hugely into firearms though, I'm just curious.

Blackhawk Japan is fantastic. Not sure how they’d ship that though. Probably ups or FedEx since JapanPost EMS is still not operating air freight.

Been searching for a black Walther PPK but all I can find is the silver PPK/S.

[QUOTE=NoHaveMSG;3428423]...Roofing material...[QUOTE]

Last year I was thinking about a new roof but got a repair instead. The roofer said with luck, I had a few more years left. My luck ran out in February with the historic blizzard.

The roof replacement cost has nearly doubled. The roofer said it's due to asphalt shingle prices rising from oil prices, big demand from new homebuilders, and higher labor costs needed to exceed supplemental unemployment benefits. His quote could rise if any wood needs replacing, plywood sheets are $100 each.

With that, he's booked months out, is on allocation basis from Pabco shingles in Tacoma with their just in time manufacturing process and can only attract enough workers for three crews, down from his usual six crews last year.

Strange. My dad just roofed his house and it was around the same price as what I paid late last year.

Who was your roofer? I need a third opinion, the second was even higher than the first with the same story.
