Both of these were completely ignored:

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...ter#post234409

The second one even had a one word "BUMP" post after mine but that was deleted after TITAN got banned.

You can't just assume vendors are doing the right thing by the community and vendors are obviously not permitted to show that they are either.

I'm sure others have similar stories to tell.
The first one was over 1 month before the rules were put in place, no one is proactively going back and banning for bumps made months ago.

The second one Evasive was given an infraction, and they didn't do it 15 times.

Vendors don't need to post "replied to your PM", that's obvious already to the user before they even get to the thread. It's a bump, nothing else.

And yes, please keep reporting violations you see that happen after the rules were put into place. Also we are giving vendors a bit of time to go add MAP/MSRP pricing to their threads, otherwise all vendors would have been banned. But keep reporting those also so we can work on the vendor with that. We would have done the same with Titan had he not bumped so many times the day after the rules were implemented.

Your post seems to imply that we are playing favorites and holding something against Titan. I've never used most of the vendors that are on this site and have never even heard of that Titan before (I thought they were the guys in Orland assuming they still exist at first until I noticed his location).

There is no motive beyond enforcing the rules Chris knew about and broke.

As for Titan: did he bump individual threads 3 times or did he bump one thread beyond the explicitly stated 3 times?
Doesn't matter, the rule is inclusive of all classified subforums. 15 bumps in one thread or 15 bumps in 15 different threads means the same thing.

Hopefully Vendors will stat doing "mega" threads instead of a thread per part, that way legitimate replies can be done in that one thread instead of having to post legitimate replies in 8 threads.

I have to agree with the mods. It seemed like there were more vendor FS threads going daily than anything else.

Kinda silly.

Sorry, but if a vendor cannot follow the clearly posted rules, they are subject to a ban, just as the rules state @ http://www.ft86club.com/forums/announcement.php?f=44

This policy/rule has now been changed to an "any pricing" standard (see http://www.ft86club.com/forums/announcement.php?f=44)

The post must simply list a price - whether that's actual discounted price, MSRP, or MAP.

Thanks.

I would rather look at all the vendors parts in one tread anyways makes it way easier to look at products in stead of going to like 5 threads to see everything. Dont really have time to go to 5 threads to see everything.

I am in no way defending the vendors actions.

However, the way I interpreted it was: 3 bumps per day per thread. Meaning that if i have 7 vendor threads open I can bump each of those threads at least 3 times per day.

Perhaps the fix would then be to lump all of their threads into one mega thread. Or and this is where payment to become a vendor comes into play, create a paid vendors subthread where members can go to see deals.

** Just re-read it and am sorry I missed the first bullet . Does this also mean that we need to report members in the member marketplace?

Just a heads up for us here. The new threads I have been posting MSRP pricing. The older ones I will get changed over for you guys in the next little bit. I'm over looking our exhaust thread/dyno/updates.
I think these new rules are a good direction for the site. I understand and know people want to see pricing up front to see if that fits in their budget. But don't let that stop you from asking in a pm anyways. There are deals to be had. I would have saved myself 20k on my Subaru build had I just pm'ed people and did my homework.

I am also glad to see the vendor area also getting cleaned up its been off the hook nuts in there. Felt like a room with knifes tossed in there. We are also waiting to kick in to help this site as well.
