Bump travel: Bilstein B6 vs Koni Sport
I bought my car used with RCE Yellow springs paired with Koni Sport dampers all around and have a couple questions.
Will switching to Bilstein B6 increase bump travel? Do the bump stops get transferred over and reused? |

IIRC on one end of B6 had builtin internal bumpstops, but for other end one reuses stock bumpstops.

The difference between the two is rather minimal.
Have a search, there was something posted by RCE Andrew about this. |

I'll have pictures and some measurements of Bilstein B6 compared to stock in the next few weeks. I think they're fairly close (and Koni should be as well).

Both ends. Woah, Racecomp Engineeting as in RCE? Like the RCE Yellow springs I have on my car? Sweet! Looking forward to your post. Thank you! |

And like churchx said, you reuse OEM rear bumpstops, but not the fronts. Bilstein have internal front bumpstops. Reuse front and rear dustboots. EDIT: i'll update this thread with pictures eventually: https://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=143629 - Andrew |
