Slightly changed from last year. 2020 was a pretty good development year as they finally got the ej20 to finish more races in 1 piece.

Did you pay for the subscription to watch this year? I wish The Race hadn't lost broadcast rights...

What's going on with that engine that it's competitive with McLaren and Lamborgini? That doesn't seem possible. I guess intake restrictors that limit the latter cars to less power than stock and also weight rules that add weight to larger engined cars? Still I can't imagine what they're doing to a NA 4-cylinder to keep up.

Nothing special with the engine. It is an old fashioned WRC spec EJ20 engine, but improved each year little by little. If I recall correctly GT300 cars are restricted to around 350hp .

In that video it showed the start order and there was a Lamborghini in there. During the start I thought I saw a McLaren. How weird that racers are choosing these cars for a class with a 350hp limit. It's hard to imagine the engine tuning used to bring their power that far down.

Could be different classes.

Yes. The GT300 and GT500 cars are running together.
