Has anyone run a dyno for HKS Hi Power Spec-L?

If so or got any info, would you please share it with us here?

I did some research and could not find anything.

:t hanks:
Thanks in advance!

They may post it up later with their own write up....

When they first dyno'd the car with a K&N filter with stock exhaust it was 178HP. Today with the Hi-Power it was only 176HP....yes, a loss...but then when they first dyno'd the car it was about 2 months ago(its on the forum here some where...i ll try to find it)....so they put back the stock exhaust and dyno'd again it came out to only a 2 HP gain from the stock to HKS Hi-Power Spec-L. Changed filters from K%N, HKS Hybrid and OEM(little/no difference)

Lots of other exhaust companies seem to boast a 5-10 HP gain....but some I seen with dyno charts were done in 3rd or 4th gear....5th gear is where the 1:1 ratio is for the FRS/BRZ....

So in my opnion...without doing the entire exhaust system and or tuning there won't be a much of a huge gain in power...

But it does sound nice =] Hopefully a sound clip will be up as well.

The big gains come from removing the CAT's after the header. Most of the exhausts making over 10whp are header back. You are not going to see much gains from a cat back. The midpipe does not gain anything, and the muffler repalcements are only seeing around 2 whp.

I just installed this exhaust and you'll be surprise how quiet it is. My point is that you can then buy the front crossover pipe with a high flow cat or cat less and see a better HP gain while having a good quality, low weight, not too loud exhaust. If it is still too quiet (or want more HP), then you can still go with headers
