When they first dyno'd the car with a K&N filter with stock exhaust it was 178HP. Today with the Hi-Power it was only 176HP....yes, a loss...but then when they first dyno'd the car it was about 2 months ago(its on the forum here some where...i ll try to find it)....so they put back the stock exhaust and dyno'd again it came out to only a 2 HP gain from the stock to HKS Hi-Power Spec-L. Changed filters from K%N, HKS Hybrid and OEM(little/no difference) Lots of other exhaust companies seem to boast a 5-10 HP gain....but some I seen with dyno charts were done in 3rd or 4th gear....5th gear is where the 1:1 ratio is for the FRS/BRZ.... So in my opnion...without doing the entire exhaust system and or tuning there won't be a much of a huge gain in power... But it does sound nice =] Hopefully a sound clip will be up as well. |
