Toyota has hinted they were going to make a convertible FR-S\86....Subaru not so much. I see no problem with a convertible FR-S\86......it will sell if the price is within $2k of the coupe and it weighs less than 100 pounds more..
The only car that rules the small affordable RWD convertible market is the miata, every other manufacture has abandoned this market. The FR-S\86 will be welcomed. But yeah a supercharger or hell the upcoming 2.0 liter flat four turbo with 270HP coming in the next gen WRX, if what should be in the STI version of the BRZ. I doubt we will ever see a turbo in the FR-S because of the pricing issues.... |

I figured the next two interesting cars for my budget to come out after the ATS would be the next-generation WRX and Miata, but neither made their 2014 model year list.

I'll take a hard top FRS.

My friend would be very interested in the convertible. I'm not a fan of convertibles in general. I AM a fan of factory boost. Damn CARB.

I like convertibles, and own one now. I just don't care for the 86 as a convertible. Admittedly, I might feel different if I saw it in person.
