But hey if you want it to be reversed and have up be down and down be up go right ahead.

I've seen the rewiring, most people just rewire the paddles to Switch those, not sure how many have actually reversed the shifter itself.

While we are at it lets change the windows so pulling up makes the window go down, and pushing down makes the window go up.

TBH I would reverse it if the + and - where easily switched on the center piece. but it does logically sound reversed.

I've never seen threads talking about swapping the paddles... those are already correct from the factory. It's just the stick that is wrong. When you are braking your body moves forward so it feels more natural to push forward to downshift. Similar to pushing forwards on a flight stick to go down. The opposite is true while up shifting. Literally ALL sequential race cars with hand shifters work this way.

But yeah on a car where the shifter isn't mechanical like on a race car it's easy to swap the direction so it could sort of become a driver's preference. They should have hidden some ability to swap it into the buttons to the left of the wheel similar to how you adjust the shift light indicator on our car. Then people wouldn't be forced to rewire stuff.

Arguing AT vs MT is pointless. It’s like telling someone they’re wrong because they like strawberry ice cream instead of chocolate. You can be absolutely right that chocolate tastes better to you, and be absolutely wrong what tastes better to them.

Everyone should try both and form their own opinion. The only way to know is to try. Goes for ice cream and transmissions

You obviously haven’t spent much time on the ice cream forums.

Your right, other way around. Looked at those a few years ago but never was interested if I couldn’t swap the + and - so haven’t thought about it since.

Coke vs Pepsi (everybody knows Mountain Dew is really king)
sailing ships vs speedboats
AMD vs Intel vs Motorola

PC vs Console
Star Trek vs Star Wars
the wheel vs carrying your own load like a man
aliens vs predators
...

Yes. Dating myself a bit though. That would have been back in the original Mac days when it wasn't owned by Lenovo

It all depends on where in the states you live. If I had to guess you were visiting Florida or anywhere in the south east. Coke’s home is in Atlanta Georgia so Coke is very popular in the south east so when ordering cola we usually ask for coke. Restaurants never carry both products (due to contracts) and in the past if someone asked for Coke and all they had was Pepsi they would give it to you without informing you. Their was a law suit from Coke over this so now servers are required to ask “is Pepsi okay”. In most of the country people just say cola. In some parts of the country cola is any drink with bubbles and other parts it’s only Coke or Pepsi.
