Lol riiight. I lurk and do plenty of reading, I am well aware of how dynos vary. You shouldn't be too quick to make assumptions. The reason I said what I said is because once someone dyno's your parts, and doesnt come even close to the numbers you claim. Your going to have even more to answer to. Which is why I noticed you posted what you did in my quote. Pretty transparent if you ask me.

First thing first, thanks Mike for posting that long yet good post.
Secondly, everyone just sit back, relax & wait for other member's results. I can't wait to see whiteout & other member's dyno results. Hell, if I could fly out to see the dyno runs to see it for myself, if all those results.,, but sadly I'm no millionaire, so I won't be able to fly there to see it

Plenty of other vendors on this site post up results before thorough testing and re-testing, so I don't have a problem as some do with immediate results being posted. Although some results have has mistakes in their labeling. Still, we're all chomping at the bit for results, photos, and sale of the parts, so we're all partially to blame for demanding info immediately, then others immediately call out the vendors. You don't want the parts, then don't buy them. You have a previous issue with the vendor, post it up, but don't keep coming back with nothing new to offer the discussion. Glad we're getting somewhere on this vendor's products and looking forward to seeing positive results, even if slightly reduced from before.

Honestly I'm looking forward to vivid posting up their findings, and if everything checks out will be sending my money their way. I do appreciate Vivid responding back in a professional manner and trying to right the confusion. Can't wait to see the results! |

Much has already been said but their approach that swapping a clutch and pulley back to stock was too much work is a good insight into their practices IMO.
I do like the system, and am interested in seeing legit numbers on the new car though.

You should be thankful this forum is filled with people who know mechanics, that can question and smell out the bullshit. Most forums are filled with retard assclowns, and I follow a few because its too funny not to. It is because of people like "us", company's whome claims get proven as lies, become public. As a results, some one less knowledgable has been protected. This kind of pessimism Keeps company's honest... Sometimes ha! Either way, this dude mike has promised to answer everyone's questions with a 3rd party test car. So as until he comes through and things check out (which these things take time people), laying off would keep the already said things down to a minimum LOL. |

Because it's been well over a week since their first initial post, and there are still no parted out dyno runs. For a shop it should take no more than 1 work day to part and dyno each piece of the dyno. |

Please tell me how they are supposed to test all the pieces on a car that wasn't completely stock for the info everyone wants. My car will be tested tomorrow, pictures and videos will be taken for documentation, so untill then let's just all get along with each other and wait for the results patiently.

Also there is this simple thing called a baseline. You cread a baseline by running a vehicle in a base form to create a base run to compare all other runs against. Here's where it gets tricky... YOU DON'T NEED A BARE BONES STOCK CAR FOR THIS. I know the concept of that might have blown your mind, but you can in fact create a baseline with a car that has had a flywheel and crank pully installed on it. You simply put a stock exhaust on the modified car and run it on a dyno. This creates a NEW baseline to test against. Since the parts that you are testing are different than this model you can then replace what parts, and ONLY THE PARTS IN QUESTION on the vehicle. When you have replaced the parts you would like to test, you try to recreate every other variable as close as possible to the original baseline. Heat, humidity, number of runs, how warmed up the car was, what dyno was used, number of dyno runs before calculating the average, or cherrypicking the top stat (notice if this is done, you must also pick the top baseline run). This will all affect the final outcome of the dyno. The closer you can get to every external variable the more acurate your test will be. The question is, did the exhaust create the 40 whp 20 tq as claimed in the initial post by vivid racing, or were the numbers incorrect, and why. It's basic F@'n science 101 guys. It's not trying to solve why quasars and black holes exist. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientific_method We need some more Bill Nye up in here. Last edited by Hawaiian; 07-26-2012 at 02:27 AM. |

Do you even own a frs? How are they supposed to do Dyno runs for each part when their car has the light weight flywheel that wouldn't be practical to remove to test the exhaust components?
