In the meantime, I put gaffer's tape over the plastic shift display. Looks okay, but would look better with a nice shift boot. Perhaps other shift boots would fit? I don't think the MT would fit proper.

Additionally, the point is not to "look like and MT", but the MT appearance is just cleaner. The shift display is just tacky looking.

JPM Coachworks, you listening? Make it, I'll buy it!

The manual is pretty much the same surround without the plastic insert so I think there is a chance it might fit, although I do like the three panel on the AT better. I agree on the MT look, I don't really want to necessarily accomplish that either, but it is nice that it does look close to that.

Maybe we can schedule a time for you to swing by again and do a test fit with the manual boot. Would be a good project.

We ship worldwide. We're actually looking for a distributor in Australia (if you care to recommend anybody) so that you all can purchase items a lot quicker and easier.

I'd be up for that, but unfortunately will probably be a couple of weeks as I'm tied up through this weekend. I'll PM you later in the week. If there is someone else that can make it sooner though, that'd be alright too.

I'd kill for an Alcantara dash wrap. Not just the hood, but the whole damn thing.

How will you know if you're in the gate for manual mode!!! Actually, I fuck that up in the Lexus on a daily basis. Put it into the +/- gate then try to shift into park and wonder why the damn thing won't move up, heh.

Yea, I could see where that would happen, but that would happen to me anyway because I never look at the shifter when changing gears.

As far as M mode, the display changes from "D" to the gear you are in on the dash.

I honestly don't think I've ever looked down to make sure I had it right after the first couple of days. For one thing, I can't see it over the e-brake handle without changing my position. To me, no different than not having to look at the gear pattern on an MT to make sure you know where first gear is.

I know this was discussed earlier in the thread but I'd like to see a single piece leather wrapped dash trim piece with a cutout for a double din radio instead of the oem size.

Someone had the pieces bonded and leather wrapped and I think it looks good, and also gives a chance for a nice clean looking aftermarket radio install
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12524

It might also be cool to have the option to put some 52mm gauges to the right of radio, tilted toward the driver... or maybe just the gauges and ditch the radio entirely

Alcantara wrapped dash = no glare, so that's what I want. I don't think I'd like the look of that combined with leather or Alcantara wrapped dash trim.

As far as gauges go my suggestion is single DIN head unit with a single DIN triple gauge holder.

Alex,

On the shit/ebrake boot, do you have leather that matches the leather on the top of the door cards?
