Excellent. My FRS will be 8 years old next fall and this looks like a perfect replacement.

The real question is if I wait until the following spring to let the first production run gremlins get worked out.

Still haven't seen anything on what platform they used but the increased stiffness would lead in the direction of the new global one. This will allow for quite a few parts bins adaptions.

I wonder when they'll have a performance package out and in red... Definitely interested in Gen 2 but also not in a rush. The updates are inviting; more torque and better amenities but we'll have to see. I'm definitely thinking about test driving one.

Yeah but I think VW people are happy with anything that doesn't have a CEL on all the time.

Not sure what you mean. Yes it is a "new" version of an existing engine but unlike the FA20 they didn't develop a whole new engine for it just altered what they had.

You can pretty much confirm the bolt pattern as 5x114.3, as the GR Yaris is using the same style wheels (albiet in forged flavour) and has a 5x114.3 pattern. (I've also edited my original comment with this info)
