Master Cylinder Brace
Can anyone suggest a brand of master cylinder brace? Is it even worth getting? Is it something I can install myself without any special tools or should this be done at a shop?

It's all the same shit. Technically it's stopping the flex. If you're not driving on the edge on track you'd be hard pressed to notice. It installs very easily

Buy the cheapest one.
I got a radium brace used from a part out. Does the job. |

I have a Perrin one. Normal easy braking, I do not notice a difference. Braking at >50%, the pedal is a a bit firmer. You will also get a bit of vibration in the pedal coming from the strut tower.

Maybe. And completely subjective based on the prepositional phrase most people don't seem to be able to piece together both figuratively and literally... "in conjunction with..." I can prove that my 60-0 stop distances decreased with a brace. In conjunction with... |

I have one (Perrin) and the install was very easy. However, I also upgraded the brake lines to SS as well as slotted rotors with Hawk pads all at the same. All of those together gave me a way better brake "feel" and can be done for about $600 give or take. The brace alone is not really worth it IMO. I can also confirm a bit of vibration from the strut tower under heavy braking.

I have one of these:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001...E&gclsrc=aw.ds Knockoff, works perfectly, agree with Spuds that light braking you won't notice a difference, but under more firm braking even on street I definitely feel a difference. Less soggy as you approach the bottom of the brake pedal, more confidence inspiring. I was skeptical after reading some comments like "you'll only feel it on the track" but it was definitely a worth mod for me (and I don't really drive like a maniac on the street). A side thought also - if your fluid needs replacement that may mask any benefit from the brace. Edit: stock pads, lines, rotors, fluid, before and after |
