That brings back memories. We had a Giant Artichoke in San Jose years ago on the corner of Winchester and Stevens Creek. Before that, it was The Doggie Diner.

I don't like the construction of the new wiper blades. The inserts/blades are just glued on.

Here is a summary of the OEM replacement insert part numbers:

550mm Rubber Unit (Driver Side)
_Dealer___ Part#____MSRP
Subaru 86548 CA000 $13.45
Toyota SU003-04215 $16.74
Toyota SU003-04213 $8.32

500mm Rubber Unit (Passenger Side)
_Dealer___ Part#____MSRP
Subaru 86579 CA050 $11.95
Toyota SU003-04216 $15.81
Toyota SU003-04214 $8.32

Why would anybody want that?

It's for the guys who claim to remove their GTwing after track day but can only afford the spoiler

^yes! It's good for two things: fried artichokes, and sandwiches. But if you're ever in Castroville; definitely, stop by the Patio Burger, and try the patio
cheese burger/fries!

I just got carried away playing with the car and having too much fun with the 86. She makes me happy. I originally wanted one without a spoiler, and that one day I would remove it.

I remember talking to my friend's mom and dad(whose really into hot rods) told me; back in his car days, rivets to bolt on fenders and such was a style thing.

When I was talking to his mom, she talked about how zippers and buttons were used in high end clothing/fashion.

So I had this idea that if I plugged the holes with nice buttons it would prevent water from going in and could look nice too. Now I think about it the car looks like I have hood pins or body piercings. kek.

Thanks for the feedback and everyone for the positive vibes!

Why does anyone want anything?

Honestly,it would be purely for cosmetic purposes. Having the ability to easily swap out different types of lips could be interesting for some people.

If I ever get back to Castroville, I'll have to try a burger there. If you like "homemade" type burgers, JJs Burgers over in San Juan Bautista are pretty good.

Be careful about listening to those old coots about car modifications, they had some weird ideas -

Enjoy messen wich your car -

Alright. I went over the whole suspension today. I found a nut loose of my front WL end link and tightened that. That did the front. Bouncing the car up and down and I had zero noise form the front.

I re-installed the rear bar without end links and greased that crap out of the bushings. The still squeaked as I rotated the bar...I pulled it off again and notice a bit of material sticking out from the edge of the bushing. I found an inner sleeve that appeared to have not been formed correctly when made. I looked that the other side and saw the same thing. These are the new greaseless bushings but all of the area wasn't covered by this sleeve. I used a file and needle nose and removed the sleeves completely. I took the whole assembly apart including the end links. I regreased the bushings and used Break-free CLP-4 everywhere.

So far, I'm only getting a minor squeak/bind when going up a driveway/incline. I'm very happy and hope it stays this way! If not, I'll order new bushings. The rear bar makes a huge difference.

ETA: NOISE CAME BACK WITHIN A WEEK

Flushed the clutch fluid out, and installed AC Vent overlays that I painted with black trim paint.

Turned out pretty good. The overlay doesn't cover the inner part of factory trim. The shift knob and TCS buttons are still silver so it sort of ties that together.

How the hell do you get pop clips in? Kept having them either completely deform or only 3 out of the 4 flaps would go in and the last one would be bent to shit or broken off.
