What about the Lucas oil fuel treatment. I was using it on my WRX and would get 2mpg more when I was commuting. I thought it was giving a bit more power, so I did a blinded study where my father in law put it in or did not, so I would not know. I was wrong every time, so no increase in power, but the mpg was there. It also turns out that it can lessen the crickets on my BRZ. Never did the mpg with it on my BRZ.

no i m talking stock tune.
Car is cranking with 100% PI to around 600rpm, then it makes a short stratified squirt with DI to kick rpm higher (cold start begins) then it switches to 50%/50% but the DI portion is stratified and very retarded When ecu estabilish it s time to switch from cold start to warm start, it switches back again shortly to 100% PI... to then use only 100% DI at warm idle That is all hardcoded into tune and no one changes that i can imagine the PI fuel that can be flushed out directly into exhaust in overlap zones (low rpm for example, but NOT at idle.. there are several overlap zones in stock tune also at higher rpm) from the scavenging effect (and the Direct injectors are right in the mid way to the exit) but that doesnt happen at idle Nothing happens at idle with PI and there is no valve overlap so whatever that article says, doesn t happen at idle in our car |

I recently used GumOut all-in-one in both my and wife's cars. My wife's car's *average* mileage went up by about 1.5 mpg (we did a lot of highway driving, but still, we're talking average mpg).
My BRZ has been running quieter ever since. I can't trace out any other reason. Same gas station, same oil, same me. Only thing different is adding GumOut. Sent from a potato |

When I had my motor replaces at 43K The injectors were badly clogged which leads me to believe that a cleaner additive is necessary.

I used gumout high mileage recently since it has the highest concentration of PEA of their lineup. Easily available and cheap.
PEA is listed on the bottle. The PEA label was on the neck of the bottle of purchased.
