You can double hp and that's fine but if you use an aluminum pulley its going to beat your bearings out.

Millions and millions of air cooled VWs had no harmonic balancer.

That is a completely different mod. Under driving the water/alt pulleys using Toda kit or Fensport pulleys is not at all the same as a lightweight pulley and shouldn't even be grouped in the same category.

When people cannot prove any power improvement, they claim throttle response since it is not measurable. Either someone posts a legitimate dyno or 0-60 test or we call the bs. Light-weight crank pulley is bs. That is the fact.

I think light weight pulleys only make sense if you already have light weight flywheel, carbon drive shaft, lighter wheels, and 2-piece brake rotors. I'm certain you would be able to feel the difference when you have removed that much rotational mass from the drivetrain.

I had all that except an aluminum drive shaft and I couldn't tell.

Hp is mass, distance and time.
If hp is the same and you reduce mass you get less time or more distance.
Simple physics.
Does it take more power to spin a 10lb disc than it does a 1lb disc to 7400rpms from 750?
And not only that but you also have to accelerate the extra 9 lbs with the car.
So you get less centrifugal mass plus less overall mass.
The lighweight pulley works two different ways on acceleration.

Engine crank is mechanically connected to many parts with rotating mass; flywheel, driveshaft, differential, wheels, tires, rotors, and who know what I forgot to move a car that weighs 2800 lbs. Rotating a pulley of few pounds lighter weight that actually rotates other pumps, alternators, compressors will not make any measurable difference. That is why there is no data.

Every little bit adds up and the pulleys,flywheel, battery and driveshaft is a huge weight savings and relatively cheap. Around 50lbs
