That's with 12 hours or so of tuning. They started with a very safe tune and worked their way to what it is at the moment.
Sounds like John is getting more and more experienced with these cars and hopefully the 4psi barrier will get broken soon.

Sorry guys, still only working on a few hours sleep - but I'm in FL now !
Anyways - tuning and pricing The EcuTek ProECU Flash cable & License costs $600. My tune for this turbo kit, or any other turbo kit will be $600. I will also have a NA Flash for $350 so NA Flash w/ ProECU Kit- $950 + Shipping Turbo Flash w/ ProECU Kit - $1200 + Shipping. let me know if you have any questions. John |

I would be ok to pay 6k if you make a reliable kit with a reasonable warranty, but I would like to put new pistons and rods in for better reliability even if it does come with warranty. Are you considering doing any hot weather testing in California or something?

What if we get the cable and tune through you and then need to change the tune a bit due to adding something else. Can we make slight modifications to the tune ourselves or do we have to have you do it and would you charge to make said change? Also, what if we do a NA tune and then switch to turbo, would it just be an extra $250 to upgrade? |

Hmmmm maybe we can get a box tune to get started and then those of us who can't make it all the way up to where Don is to get tuned can have our local tuners use that have a basis to work with. I'll personally be running around 6-7psi so my tuner can adjust to that from the possible box tune. Just throwing out ideas.
I was quoted for a minimum of $1500 to tune and install the kit. That doesn't even include that the tuner will have to buy the tuning software which may or may not come out of my pocket. No rush for answers, I'm just trying to make my plan

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you.

Kinda sorta. Also, speed and inertia make a difference, as well as a ton of other factors like of an on throttle inputs at the limits of grip.

It's just a funny quote that's been floating around for years. It's my primary quotation on Facebook lol.

Even shorter FD? Hmmmmm I suppose that would work with it's current power. But after this turbo goes the FD will be perfect. 2nd/3rd gear drifting is my goal. I'm trying to get it powerful enough to drift through the turns at my local tracks while still going 40+. It's like half-racing half-drifting. Floor it on the straights and let it slide through the turns and burn smoke.

FWIW, it was probably over 100 degrees yesterday when I was in the car. My rental hovered around 103-104 a lot and hit 109 at one point..
