Mine does the same thing. I remedied it a bit by using Motul 300 transmission oil. Getting a spare now, since I supercharged the car and anyday it can break.
Bottom line is that the manual transmissions on these cars are not stellar and the synchros are crap. Toyota/Aisin leaned on the weight and furl efficiency and they ended up with a weak transmission. The good thing is that they can be found pretty cheap in the used market. $600-800ish gets you a very low miles one with lots of life left. Last edited by MaxTurbo; 07-17-2020 at 01:09 PM.
