Are you sure it is a longer delay than previously?

The cluster's Gear Indicator is based on a calculation of the gear you're in and the speedometer reading, so it has a delay built-in.

It is not a sensor in the Trans or somewhere that knows what gear you've selected.

Okay maybe my memory is a little off. I did this mod like a year ago. But i remember this was like the only thing i didnt like. I just thought i did it wrong. Because the Reverse gear indicates immediately. Before i depress the clutch even.

I'm guessing Reverse is instant due to the Back-Up Camera.

Can someone clarify for me, does this adjust the physical position of the pedal or does it adjust the point in the travel of the pedal that the clutch grabs?

I just did the adjustment. I see that it adjusts the position of the pedal. Going for a test drive now.

So it has no relevance to clutch adjustment just pedal height?

The clutch operating mechanism adjusts to wear automatically.

This adjustment changes the amount the clutch is disengaged by changing the throw of the pedal. The stroke of the master piston is proportional to this.

I think they are related. As in, adjusting the position of the pedal effects the catch point.

I have been playing around with this adjustment for a few days now. Personally, I think having the clutch pedal just slightly higher than the brake pedal, rather than just slightly lower, feels the best.

This is very true.There needs to be enough disengagement to keep the clutch from dragging with the occasional sloppy shift. Need some clearance to keep the disk from windmilling. Otherwise the syncros have to fight that drag - stubborn shifts and premature syncro wear

Hello! Just had my clutch replaced to a Spec stage 2 and re-adjusted the pedal. Can someone please let me know if the clutch cylinder is fully depressed/ compressed? Also is that adequate play for the cruise control sensor? My clutch pedal is maybe a tiny bit higher than my brake pedal right now. I also made sure the cruise control screw is not pressing into to the clutch on its own. Want to make sure I did this correctly and the clutch isn't engaged...

if the cruise control disengages when you put the clutch in then it is OK.
