Depends on which model you compare it to... If the posted specs for the next gen are correct and the M/T does weigh 1250 kg (2756 lbs) then it's 20 pounds lighter than a current USDM base model 86 manual which weighs 1259 kg (2776 lbs) and 77 pounds lighter than a 2020 BRZ tS which weighs 1285 kg (2833 lbs) The current stripped down JDM models weigh 1210 kg (2667 lbs) with no A/C, no sound system, no spoiler, no spare & 16" wheels. Where did these numbers come from?
I've seen it floating around for the last little awhile and was wondering how they even came to such numbers (its fairly specific).... Closest thing i could think of is the 86 GRMN with the 216hp/160lbft FA20. |
