I'm more than content in giving up the FR-S and keeping the Frontier. Much easier to find another manual 86 down the line than a 2nd gen 2WD, King Cab, 6speed manual Frontier. I had to fly to North Carolina to get my Frontier...only one of a few in the country I could find specced as wanted and within my budget at the time I was looking some 3 1/2 years ago. I will miss the FR-S, but I like how I don't need to worry about a lift to do basically anything under a truck for maintenance.... just go right under it and do whatever maintenance work needs to be done. FR-S with a front lip is so freaking low a regular jack won't even fit under it... had to drive up on pieces of wood to fit a jack under it just for doing an oil change. And rear has to be lifted for differential fluid change, where with the truck you can do it as is on the ground.

changed spark plugs last weekend but didnt drive it
this weekend replaced my leaking rear strut with a new OEM one (used the spring compressor tool to keep the same spring as they still had little milage on them) also did an on oil change. while doing the spark plugs i removed the stupid sound tube and plugged the hole in the passenger compartment absolutely love driving this car, felt amazing today after all that work also rewarded myself with a milwaukee 1/2 inch impact for future tire rotations/swaps

Stay-at-Home...to install car parts
In this past month, installed TRD lowering springs, Konig Hypergrams 17x8 +40, VLand Headlights, replaced a broken wheel stud in the rear, and added duckbill spoiler.

Installed Cusco motor mounts today. About a week ago I installed the Perrin transmission support and also modified a whiteline transmission bushing to fit the Perrin support. Shit ton of NVH, but the car handles great and the driveline lash is gone. And the extra noise makes me smile like an idiot as it runs towards redline. I also installed a Fumoto drain valve and Cusco pedal about a week ago.

After having dealt with the horrendous brake squealing these past couple of weeks since installing Hawk HP+ pads, I'm happy to finally drive the car with extended studs and not-as-horrendous squealing after having added some lubrication all around! (not on the pads or the rotor themselves of course)
So now all that's left is to finally give the car a proper wash and start thinking about more mods. |

Why don't you folks just weld the engine to the frame (body), weld the transmission to the engine, and weld all the other parts of the drive train together then weld that all up to the transmission? -
