Strike while the iron is hot, motherfuckers. If you wait another year or two, we'll all be hot for something else. That's exactly what happened to the new Supra.

Sounds like Yaris is dead in the US after 2020.

So this either means its gone for good cuz Murica hates small things, or theres a slight possibility a new Yaris could be revived later and it'll be the global Yaris instead of the rebadged Mazda2.

Im hoping for the latter to happen up in Canada....we seem to like small cars enough to actually buy them.

Does anyone have a plan to pre-order one? In Europe you can already register ... If yes, would you order the one with the torsen or the base one?

I was very close to placing an order for the full fat version (wasn't sure about the colour, Black or White) but the uncertainty of the job market due to the effing virus stalled my plan. See what 2021 brings...

Toyota, being a stakeholder in Subaru, might not intend to bring a compact and powerful AWD vehicle to the North American market for obvious reasons.

On the other hand, they discontinued the WRX STI in the UK 1 or 2 years ago, so they have an unfilled, albeit relatively small market segment there and probably other markets in Asia and Europe as well.

F*ck. The thoughts were, when the time comes, sell the BRZ, sell mum's Yaris and get an auto Suzuki Swift Sport. Now I'm wondering if we could afford to own 2 cars. The wife could keep the Yaris.
It would be financially irresponsible but want.
