We had our daughter and son-in-law and the three granddaughters over for Mothers day dinner. Last Friday I stopped in at the local butcher shop and my girl friend there fixed me up with seven, large, center cut, bacon wrapped, filet mignon chunks of beef.

I grilled them up on the grill outside and they turned out yummy.

Our son-in-law has been out of work for a couple of weeks and our daughter has a furlough week coming up this month. So, we gave them our "stimulus" check. We are too damn old to get "stimulated" anyway -

Happy Mothers Day to all the mothers out there (ya, tell-em I said so).

I mentioned here I am thinking about getting a Suzuki Swift Sport. Hasn't happened yet but probably will. Of course thinking about said car means I have spent some time deciding upon what mods to get for the car.

Doing this research has made me aware that there are a metric truckload of aftermarket parts available for the 86/BRZ. The total number of mods available for the Suzuki are probably about the same as the number of endlinks available for the twins.
Tein shocks Suzuki:3
Tein shocks BRZ: 11
BBK Suzuki: 3 that i could find. (Not on my shopping list.)
BBK BRZ : 38 according to 86speedfactory

For a platform that supposedly hasn't sold very well I'm amazed by the number of options available for the twins, formerly triplets.

The number of available aftermarket parts is probably in decline. There very well were far more options a couple of year back. The irony is that there were so many options that what you are finding now is likely the surplus due to the excessive amount that were made.

Like Tcoat stated, 86/BRZ mod options is declining... for 2~3 yrs now. But still crazy amount of option still there. Problem is, it'll be harder and harder to get parts next year or so. So if you see small company selling stuff now that you're debating to get or not, I highly recommend getting it.

Of course, 86 had very good aftermarket support due to Tada-san show off the 86 to the tuners from get go and giving out much info as he can. That goes the same with current Supra. Only been out for a year and crazy how much aftermarket option they have right now.

No, we haven't. USPS says it's still in NY. I've been to the doc a couple times lately and have been at 98-99%.

Speaking of COVID, I'm on day 4 of the stupidest COVID lockdown case yet.

Had a virtual visit with my primary care doctor on Thursday because I was wheezing a bit. I had this in Feb and it turned out to be a bronchial infection so didn't want to take any chances. Zero other symptoms except when I lay down I wheeze a bit on the exhale.

She insisted I get a COVID test even though she admitted it was unlikely. Because she did that, I had to report it to my employer, who now has me on house arrest until I get the results back. The Infection Prevention specialist talked to me and said "Normally we would not refer you for the one symptom but because your Physician ordered the test we have to follow protocol".

Four days in, in symptoms, the drugs she gave me for the wheezing has made it go away, and I'm still on lockdown waiting to here from Infection Control as to the results and my status. Fortunately I was taking a few days off anyway so I'm going on with my life, taking precautions just in case. I may have to work from home for as much as 14 days though after I return to work on Wednesday.

There truly is no common sense left in medicine.

Sounds great. I talked with my mom. She forbids me to go to California until this is over.

We did carnitas low and slow all day and had street tacos.

I respectfully disagree. Strict adherence to process saves lives. The only thing that we keep learning about this thing is that we don't know shit. Case in point, that DoD directive permanently disqualifying 'recoverees.' Have they really recovered? Forget the news. If you want to know what is actually happening, look to the Pentagon.

Just sit tight and let the wheels turn. If I learned anything in my former GI life, it's how to patiently wait in line. Give the experts a chance to sort through this clusterfuck.

Oh, I'm doing that no worries, and for the most part I agree with you. I think it's more likely I had it in February if I did have it, since I had more symptoms and they weren't looking for it yet, but my wife and the two sons living had home have had no symptoms.
