Yeah mine was 1 turn loose as well and it would not tighten up, so I also put some Teflon tape on the threads. Replaced it with a copolymer piston knob from Wx lathe werks.

flossy Shift Knob
flossy knobs group buy
group buy is done now though.

That's what I've done for now, I had to do this in my civic with an aftermarket knob and the boot adapter because the shift pattern wouldn't align correctly.

Really seems like all the cars I own have problems with the shift knobs,
06 civic SI, scratched to shit just by looking at it.
01 jetta, poor "leather" quality,
BRZ, see above. Good excuse to purchase an aftermarket knob though.
Check out the thread for more info on the group buy! Hurry!

I'm glad I found this thread. My top has separated... probably because of the heat. I was going to ask the dealer, but it sounds like I should try super glue first.

You could glue it I'm sure. Honestly, unless you're attached to the OEM knob, replace it. It just feels so much better with a nicer knob!

TRD shift knob? Those are nice and look similar to the OEM one.

Mine was pretty lose on my first drive. I turned it one turn clock wise and it seems to be tighter now. Might just be in my head though.

anyone feel that the area of the shifter is under lighted (dark....) it makes it hard to see whats in/around the 'missing' arm rest area.. including the shifter and surroundings... closest lights i believe come from the radio...

If it's between those two, the Flossy one. I think the big ball shape is better than the TRD one. I have my stainless steel knob from WC Lathe Werks and the shape is awesome. Gives a real good feel to it.

Just put in the pearl finished Team Voodoo knob...its hard to describe how awesome this knob A) Feels and B) Looks. The finish is impossible to capture in a picture. It's has this light refracting thing going on, needless to say its better in person. As for feel you really can "feel" what the tranny is doing and since it sits alot lower on the stalk the shifts are shorter and tighter.

Absolutely love this knob!

**Sorry for the crappy phone pics**

Do you notice the difference in weight? The voodoo knob is noticeably lighter than the standard one.
