Haven't seen a badger since july.

Rarely see a crow. (Neighbors don't mind if you shoot them with pheasant shot)

Never seen a raccoon.

Well, OK. Quick story. Back in Missouri I had a good sized garden. I planted several long rows of sweet corn. I lived on the edge of the Missouri River bottom land. The farmers grew many acres of corn nearby.

Each day after the corn ears started to fill out I watched then carefully. When the time was just right, I planned my harvest for the next morning. The next morning, when I went out to the garden, ALL of the ears of corn were pulled down on the stalks eaten off - by racoons.

That happened to me in San Jose, but with erwigs.
